MCL Agri Longford opened our SPAR convenience supermarket and forecourt in August 2010. This unit consists of a 1500 sq ft shop. We teamed up with SPAR as part of the BWG group in Ireland because Lanesboro, being a tourist town, on Lough Ree, needed the SPAR name and logo for its truly international and easy recognisable appearance to all forgein visitors to our region. SPAR also offers group independent buying for all products needed in our shop/supermarket. SPAR offers national advertising on print, radio and TV mediums and have the full range of products to stock our store including brillant special offers that would not be available if we had stayed independent.
